Google’s founder bought another island, but why?

Ana sayfa / Technology

Larry Page, one of the two founders of Google, one of the most valuable companies in the world, bought an island for 32 million dollars. The island, called Cayo Norte, is estimated to be the 5th island purchased by Page.

Located within the borders of Puerto Rico in the Caribbean region, the island is thought to be used for radical purposes by Larry Page, who is famous for his private tastes. With an alleged $127 billion fortune, the American billionaire is known for his frequent retreats to conduct scientific research.

Important leak for the PlayStation 6 processor! Who won?

It became clear which processor will be used for the PlayStation 6 processor. So, according to the leak, will PlayStation 6 use AMD or Intel?

We can say that Cayo Norte is not the first island purchased by Larry Page. In 2014, Page paid exactly 23 million dollars for the archipelago named Lollik, also in the Caribbean. It was revealed that the famous billionaire only lived on the islands to protect himself from the virus during the Covid pandemic.

In 2019, Larry Page, who left his executive position at Google, the technology giant he co-founded, started to live a secluded life. But thanks to his majority stake in the company, he still maintains his influence on Google’s policies.

We can say that owning an island has become a status symbol, especially among Silicon Valley billionaires. For example, Larry Ellison, the founder of the famous software company Oracle, allegedly bought a very large island in Hawaii in 2012. The next move of Larry Page, who continues to come to the agenda with his luxury spending, has become a subject of curiosity in the technology world.
